Fans saw a rarity last Friday, as the Astoria volleyball team scrimmaged at midfield of John Warren Stadium during Astoria’s fall sports preview night. The Lady Fishermen officially open the fall sports season at 6 p.m. Thursday, as they host Estacada in a nonleague match at the Brick House.
