Nosey deer
An intrepid deer roams the grounds of the Wildlife Center of the North Coast in Olney recently, eventually moving on when it was determined the photographer had no food to share. The deer was one of the first animals to be rehabilitated by the center more than 10 years ago and is still a regular visitor.

Hood to Coast Relay creates tales of thousands of runners (Slideshow, Video)
Event brings hordes of runners, visitors, volunteers to Seaside
SEASIDE - The 29th Hood to Coast Relay was so big, it was easy to get lost in all the numbers. There were, of course, the 12,000 runners and 1,000 teams; the half-million dollars raised for cancer research; the 197-mile course from 6,000 feet on Mount Hood to sea level at Seaside; the 3,500 volunteers who made the race possible. Then there were the race times, under 20 hours for the elite men's teams, under 22 hours for the elite women's teams.
